LOCAL MISSIONS
Our Local Missions serve those in the extended Granbury Community. The Church also supports a variety of local not-for-profits through monetary gifts and volunteering including; People Helping People, Rainbow Room, Neighbors Feeding Neighbors, and more.
Below is a list of several ongoing missions opportunities.
RANCHO BRAZOS COMMUNITY CENTERS
Rancho Brazos Community Centers is a ministry/non-profit born out of Acton Methodist Church, and is the key resource and activity center for at-promise families in the Rancho Brazos and Sandy Beach communities and beyond.

BACKPACK LUNCH PROGRAM
The Backpack Lunch Program serves approximately 100 students between Acton Elementary School and the Rancho Brazos Community Centers every week. The students are provided with a grocery sack containing food items to help them get through the weekend when schools are not providing free or reduced lunches. The program is entirely funded through the church’s annual Chili Cook Off.
BENEVOLENCE
The benevolence ministry supports Hood County residents who are in need of financial help. While the church does not give any money to individuals, the church can help by providing gas vouchers, utility assistance, and food through our food pantry. The benevolence office is available Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30am.
FOOD PANTRY
The church is proud to have its own food pantry that provides emergency food for 2 or 3 days for individuals and families. The pantry is not a long term resource, but can supplement a family or individual in between other local food distribution days.
DRIVES
Various drives are held throughout the year to support local not for profits like Rainbow Room, People Helping People, and Hood County Christmas For Children.
