Making A Ministry
“Service is our Passion”
If you would like to create a new ministry for yourself and others to serve, we would love to foster and nurture that commitment.
To ensure that all ministries are in line with our mission as a church and that all ministry leaders are appropriately supported by church staff, we have a few simple steps for all prospective new ministries.
Note: This is NOT a guide on how to run or operate a ministry.
These are steps to formally announce your ministry to church staff and leadership.
Draft your mission statement: Create a mission statement and write a description of your ministry including your plans and goals. Be sure that your ministry has a unique function, confirming that it doesn’t mirror any existing ministries.
Talk with the Pastor: Discuss with Barry to confirm that your ministry has a place within our church, serving our vision and mission. This is a great time to ask questions and seek guidance on how your ministry can best serve our community.
Address Church Council: Attend a Church Council monthly meeting to formally announce your ministry to the council. From here, you’ll be connected with our church staff and informed of available resources for ministry leaders.
Get on the website: Contact Noah Goodman, our Media Director with all relevant information regarding your ministry. You will be added to the website. Keep in touch with him and other church staff for your various events and announcements.
