Players signed up for Upwards Basketball will run drills, have their skills evaluated, and be assigned to their respective team for the league.

Linda Mallon, a Hood and Somervell County Veterans’ Service Officer, will be giving a talk at Acton Methodist Church.
Date & Time: March 5th, 2pm.

Linda will be discussing benefits available to veteran families, surviving spouses and the community at large. She and her organization seek to share the latest information on entitlements and ensure proper application filings for the Veterans’ Administration and other similar agencies.

Join the Hood County Prayer Task Force for a Prayer Walk for Hood County Schools on Sat, August 6th at 9am. Meet at the courthouse gazebo for a brief time of worship before we disperse to the schools. We will provide lists of teachers and prayer points for you to use. Let’s love where we live by praying for our schools together!
